Comfortable crap
I hate to say this but these boots are garbage. I do not mean to slander your companies name, but. I purchased the 8" and wore them for one month before one of the eyelets broke, so I returned them to the shop I picked them up at. They replaced them with the above 6" version, and at first I was in love, until last night. After only 7 days of wearing the, one of the eyelets broke! Disappointed is a vast understatement. I've stayed away from Bates in recent years because of the comments and reviews I've read concerning your boots, but when I saw these I decided to give y'all a second and subsequent third chance. I was wrong. The boot was ONE OF THE MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS I'VE EVER WORN! But the cheap craftsmanship and plastic eyelets balance out the great feel to leave nothing. These boots are bad. Perhaps I was a simple unfortunate soul who got the two defective pair out of the entire assembly line, but in 6 weeks? If you want a pair of "minimalist" boots, stay clear of these.
