Great Riding Boots
I have been wearing the same pair of combat boots since the mid-1980s, mostly for motorcycle riding. While they're extremely well worn-in, they're also a pain to get on and off. I've been considering side zipper boots for some time. I looked at a lot of different offerings, and only the Bates look like they're made well enough to last. Others are just ... well, cheap. After the first couple of days wearing them on my Goldwing, I have to say, "Wow!" Wish I'd bought these years ago. Light-weight, comfortable, and very well made. Can't wait to see how many miles I can get on these.
Bought for acadcemy
I was happy with purchase the first month, but now has been 3 months and the boots are falling apart! The back side is starting to open up and flap.. The sides are unglueing. I am a bit upset since can't return to academy there return is for unworn items and less the 45 days. Wish the boots were made to last longer then 3 to 4 months...... Thanks bates..

The best riding boots
This is my second pair of Bates boots. One of the first pair was damaged in a minor accident and gave it's all for my foot. I had bought the first pair in a shoe shop because they were simply the most comfortable boots I had ever worn, the second pair I went looking for. After having hammer-toe surgery 5 years ago my feet have not been easy to fit but these boots are great! I wear them for motorcycle riding and can wear them all day if need be, something I could never say about any other boots since the surgery.
