Great Boots!
A friend got these boots from his cousin brand new, but they didn't fit him so he gave them to me.
Very solid construction, comfortable, durable so far, and the side zipper is the best side zipper boot i've worn. The zipper seems more durable than some higher quality brands i've worn.
The fit is perfect.
my only grievance is the width could be wider, but that is due to me having very wide feet.
So if you have a wide foot, order the wider ones.
The break in period was fast and didn't require much other than me to walk around in them outside for a couple hours.
Overall: Very comfortable, warm, durable boots well worth the money.
Their weight is so-so. Not the heaviest, not the lightest.
Tread pattern could be a little more aggressive.

Most Helpful Critical Review
worse boot ever
I've wore some bad boots before but never this bad. They were uncomfortable from the start, I wore them for almost a month straight trying to break them in and no luck. Then when I tried to get some kind of compensation from Bates they had nothing for me. Now the ultra dura shocks I bought in Iraq were the best boot I have ever worn.... go figure....

Best boot
I have had 5 pairs of these boots over the years and have loved them from the beginning. Very comfortable and wear very well. As a police officer, I use these boots on a daily basis. I recently had to send a pair back for the zipper breaking and the seams near the front of the boot splitting. Bates is promtely replacing the boot.
These are the best fit boots I have ever worn and will continue to purchase them!
