After six years of everyday wear in training, urban, garrison ops, and a 15 month deployment, I finally had to retire these boots because the outsole split. Only other minor cosmetic issue is some fraying of the seams. Very comfortable and lightweight boot. The actual color is the lighter of those pictured.

Great Upper - disappointing sole
Very comfortable boot. Bought and wore for 3 years in a garrison only environment. The sole showed very little wear, but the sole in both boots cracked....the most disappointment I have ever had from a Vibram sole. Even more disappointing, the durable direct attach construction (upper glued to the sole) prevents the boot repair shop from putting a new sole on the boot. Bottom line......$140 is too much to pay for a boot that will only hold up to 3 years of light duty and cannot be fitted with a new sole. I have field boots that I have walked the Vibram soles off and resoled 2-3 times. When you buy, realize you are buying a disposable boot!

Not recommended for military use
I had these boots for less than six months. The soft nylon outer fabric you can see in ths picture that runs diagonaly frayed and detached from the loop hole area. The boot was rendered useless as i can no longer tighten my laces.This fabric is not suitable for military use and is a serious flaw. Good thing i had another pair of Bates m9 which also fell apart.
