The best! These boots are the most comfortable I have ever owned. I just bought another pair and the first day I wore them to work they are comfortable. The first pair I bought they lasted over two years on cement! In am a printer and they are non slip and easy on my feet. I will buy another pair as soon as these wear out!

Very poor quality Im not one to write bad reviews, I usually try to point out the positive aspects but these boots did not live up to my expectation at all. I have had these boots for about 3 months now and the leather is already cracking on the front of the boots. The soles and support on the boots aren't comfortable at all if you are standing for an extended period of time. I have worn Bates boots ever since I was little. Now that I am a police officer I need boots that are reliable and that last more then 3 months. I wish Bates could have the quality of Danner boots.

After 18 years of wearing Bates products... I will not be purchasing another. I will state for the sake of review that my order was processed timely/efficiently and I did receive the product very quickly. That being said, I'm less than pleased with the product. As the title states, I have been wearing Bates products for over 18 years now and I've seen a steady decline in their product quality. The pair of boots I bought before this one was going be "my last pair of Bates ever". I decided I'll try again since I've worn the 2262 series for MANY years. I received my latest pair just recently and I was immediately disappointed upon open the box. Why? Let's start with the tongue of the shoe being stitched to/in front of the lace eyelet so that you couldn't, without modifying, remove/replace the lace. Now why would I be removing the laces on brand new boots? Because on my last 4 pairs (I get a new pair every year, so I feel qualified to have an opinion on a cross section of their quality control)the laces have broken before the boot is fully broken in. So as a rule, I remove the factory garbage boot lace and replace them with 550 paracord (which by the way, I'm on my 3rd pair of boots with the SAME paracord and it's still in perfect condition and I'm sure it will outlast this pair of boots as well). Now, let's discuss the insole. Complete and utter garbage as well. Maybe if you weigh 80lbs and sit at a desk all day, the insoles are fine. I'm 250lbs, 6' 2" tall and I USE my boots like boots are meant to be used. I work in them 10+ hours a day. I do chores in them over the weekend. My boots hike mountains, do oil changes, go the grocery store, watch movies, build fences, and pretty much are involved in any activity outside of the house. The factory insoles are NOT capable. They are NOT usable. So, in addition to spending the money for the boots, I'm having to add another $20 in cost for replacement insoles. When I'm done replacing the laces and insoles after fixing the stitching issues, then I have a pair of boots I can wear. I shouldn't have to do this on a new pair of boots. Years back, the 2262 was my "go-to" boot. No more. Never again. I will fill that void with a different brand. Made in Bangladesh.

Best set of boots I've owned These boots are lightweight, easy to get on and off, and breath. I bought a pair on base, then bought another and finally bought this last pair online. The website is bugging me for a review and this is it. The last pair I owned seemed to wear quicker than the last, but i might have spent more time outdoors in them.
